Hi, I do apologise if this isn't the place for my question I'm incredibly new and very confused about my game issues.
I went to open my game this morning and nothing happened, l clicked on the desktop icon several times and it acted like I hadn't clicked on it at all. A few minutes later an Origin window popped up telling me I had to update Sims 4 before I could play it. So I said okay and let Origin do its thing and and once the update was done (or at least said 'Calculating' after the bar filled up) I tried to load my game. Same thing, acted like I never clicked on the icon. I can't right click it to open it either it just doesn't work. And now Origin's desktop application won't open up either so I can't do the normal troubleshooting of disabling Origin in game or anything. I've restarted my computer several times and shut it down completely, no dice.
I haven't done anything to my computer so it's not like there's some weird change that is throwing the programme off. I played fine last night, no problems and now this. I haven't been playing very long, just a few weeks, so it's not like I'm gonna lose a ton of progress if for some reason I can't get back to my Sims but this is just really frustrating!
Thank you so much if you can help me out!

I'm unable to launch/open origin. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling origin multiple times, I've gone through the suggested troubleshooting solutions for Macs (like running it in safe mode, creating a new user, resetorigin), I don't seem to have the problem plugins that can cause conflict, and I've chatted to a few game advisors but again, nothing's helped Luckily I can play sims 3. @OriginInsider hi origin team, From last three days my origin account was down and unable to login. Always showing service problem. Changed the password but the problem has been there. Any help much appreciated. Thanks & regards from INDIA Kaubutooooo. (@iminmn) reported 10 days ago @EA @OriginInsider fix server @PlayApex please. Feb 08, 2018 This can happen if something like a login item is not loading. One thing you can do is boot into safe mode, which disables login items, and see if the computer loads to the desktop. Start up in safe mode. To start up in safe mode: Start or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key. The Apple logo appears on your display.
May 03, 2010 You could check if the QtWebEngineProcess.exe is not disabled or blocked by your anti-virus - this is an integral part of the Origin client and this process not being able to run will result in a blank screen. Programs that could effect this could be an anti-virus, anti-malware, add-blocker etc. So fastest way to check this, is to disable your protection shields for a short amount of time. Jun 16, 2020 In Origin click the gear symbol in the top right, settings. Click the in game tab. Uncheck the box next to 'Enable Origin In Game'. Click Done and exit Origin. In Steam click 'Add a Game' in the bottom left, then 'Add a Non-Steam Game'. Go to your Origin.exe file (default is C:Program Files (x86)OriginOrigin.exe). Select 'Add Selected Programs'.
